From those first steps in the fields, made of toil and sweat, an indissoluble bond with the earth itself was born, a relationship that is not limited to simple cultivation, but enriched by values such as care, preservation and continuous innovation.
The story of Cantina dei Quinti is therefore a tale of a visceral bond with its roots, with the territory that has seen not only crops grow, but also a family that has always considered the land as a valuable resource to be nourished and enriched. From tomatoes to tobacco, from salads to vineyards, the Rago family has gone through different eras, overcoming the challenges of all times and adapting to changes with creativity and foresight.
THE FIFTH GENERATION
Each generation has contributed, enriching the family heritage with new ideas and products, while maintaining the thread of tradition. Thus, after more than 130 years, we have come to today, the fifth generation of the Rago family.
Eight young people, united by the same old passion that moved their fathers and grandparents, decided to continue this path. Choosing to invest in their territory and focusing on a small but precious vineyard of over 12 hectares: the Tanagro valley, at the foot of the majestic Alburni mountains.
This unique place, with its ideal microclimate and fertile soil, has become the heart of the Cantina dei Quinti, where each grape cluster tells not only the history of the family, but also that of the surrounding territory.
The young members of the Rago family have brought new life to the project, adopting cutting-edge techniques in cultivation and winemaking, always with a careful eye on sustainability and respect for the environment. In this way, the small vineyard is not only a place of production, but a real laboratory of ideas, where past and future meet to give life to unique wines.
